Moving bathroom, splitting room, making good

  • Location: North Kensington
  • Hired: West Build LTD
  • Trade: Conversions - General
Job Description

We want to move the bathroom and toilet (currently 2 rooms) from the back of the house into what is currently a bedroom.

What is currently the bathroom and toilet (will be 3.56 m x 2.39 m when knocked together) will need:
bathroom suite removed
partition walls taken down
lights and radiators moved
making good (it is becoming a bedroom).

What is currently the bedroom (3.47 m x 2.68 m) will need:
partition wall to split it into the new bathroom (including toilet) and a small bedroom
bathroom installation
tiling
lights and radiators moved
new doorway created to small bedroom
panel across alcove behind toilet (cistern behind the panel, shelves built into the alcove above)
potentially removing the chimney breast (depending on cost, so please quote separately for that).

A plumber has told me that the positioning of the new bathroom is ok in terms of fall to the waste pipe, and should be pretty straightforward to switch across.

I've drawn up plans that I can send you.

I am the property owner.

Building control and planning permission not needed.

Trades/skills needed: plumber, builder, electrician.

Quote to include labour and building materials but not bathroom suite, radiators, lights or door.
