We are looking for a builder capable of removing a ground floor bearing wall and fit an rsj beam. The property is in St Albans city centre. The wall doesn't cover the full length of the room and therefore a support might be required to support the rsj beam on one side (I can provide a floorplan by email for better illustration). We are also looking at having a toilet fitted under a staircase.

Job B : The flat appears to have a condensation issue, so I would like to install an air vent in the living room and bedroom.

I have a tandem garage measuring approx. 31 feet long by 8.5 feet wide.
I am looking to partition it in half and use the rear of the garage as a fitness room.
I am looking for a quote to provide a stud wall partition with a door and provide a plaster board/skimmed finish and laminate flooring onto what seems a failry level concrete floor.
The rear of the garage has two wooden doors facing onto the garden which I would want to replace with upvc french doors.

This room will still be seperate from the main house but am looking for a competitive price that meets any/all building regs.

Job Description

Knocking through a load bearing wall between the living and dining room to create a big room. Dimensions approx 4m wide x 2.2m high. Closing one of the doorways off and redecorating (walls and floor already the same in both rooms so only requires the area where the wall was to be painted/floored).

Second part of the job is replacing windows in dining room with double glazed ones - 2 side windows and 1 door leading into conservatory room. Would like this done at the same time as the above.

Ideally would like this work done early March and as quickly as possible once started.
