Require: widen opening to 3.2m to accomodate bi-folds. Strucural engineer states catnic CX70/100 (he assumes 75mm cavity) required, 3.5m+ in length (needs min 150mm overhang). Plans + planning permission already sorted, and building control fees paid.
Best quote so far is £2k. Looking for better - project downsized massively due to budget constraints.

Remove wall between kitchen and dining room, block work fill arch/wood work between dining room and lounge. Fit steel to padstones over wall space between kitchen and dining room. Relocate radiator and electics and make good as appropriate. I have structural plans from a suitable surveyor/engineer.

The partition between the kitchen and dining room of this 20 year old Bovis home approx 2.2 metres in length it to be partially removed leaving the lower half of the wall behind the kitchen cupboards. The door that divides the two rooms to go.

The lower part of the wall that contains kitchen cabinets is to stay and the work service extended to create a breakfast table allowing seating in the dining room. New kitchen surface exists for this job.

Finish and make good the ceiling and two walls.

Finish the floor where the wall is removed with tiles. New tiles exist to complete this task.
