Chimney breast removal

  • Location: Bradford
  • Hired: AJ Plastering & Building Services
  • Trade: Chimneys & Fireplaces
Job Description

I am looking to redecorate my bedroom shortly. The chimney breast spoils the look of the room and I would like it removing if it's possible. I no longer have a gas fire downstairs having removed that and boarded up the fireplace last year. My central heating is sufficient. If I ever wanted a 'living fire' again, I would opt for electric. Hence the chimney breast is obsolete. Quotation please.

Chimney Caps fitting and clearance of bottom of chimney

  • Location: Leeds
  • Hired: build1951
  • Trade: Chimneys & Fireplaces
Job Description

We have recently had our gas fire disconnected as it was illegally fitted by whoever the previous owners had to install it. When we have pulled the fire out, in the hole where the flue was there is what I assume is sut piled in the bottom of the chimney. We would like this cleared out so we can fit a new fireplace and replace the gas fire with an electric one.

Also over the past couple of months 2 birds have fallen down the chimney, which we assume that there is no cap fitted to the chimney top.
