We would like to open up and restore two or three of the fireplaces in our house. The chimneys need to be opened up as well. Is it possible you can come and see the place and give us a quotation for the works? Weekends or evenings would be best to meet.

Installation of new wooden mantle piece (quote required) and cast iron fire (fit only, we are sourcing one but if you have any that are available please let us know). Making good all plasterwork surrounding fire place.

I have a fireplace currently with a 1930's surround that needs removing, can be taken off whole. then a surround mounted and cast iron insert fitted, current opening is square shaped needs be altered to fit an arch shaped insert, needs fire cement etc, quite deep. bit of plastering around the surround to make good.

A two storey mews building has a brick chimney stack & parapet which is leaning severely due to very poor pointing. Requires either rebuilding or taking down closer to roof level and weatherproofing lowered upper surfaces.

1) The pots on the external chimney stack need removing, existing cement removed, pots then need re-bedding, 8 in total.

2) The exposed brick & flashing needs re-pointing
3) The lower rendered part of the stack needs painting in white external paint

Need to bring in new chimney pot on the roof where the old one used to be. At the moment there is a concrete cap that covers the chinmey, so this will need to be removed to open up the chimney and reinstate the chimney pot. There is access from top floor flat.
