I have a fireplace that has been closed up. I intended to open it up at a certain stage and had a gas outlet fitted and ready at the side of the fireplace.

I would like to achieve a combination of Gas/Solid fuel fireplace, so I can light up the fire with Gas and then able to turn off.

The living room is to be decorated soon and considering laying laminate flooring so would like this job done prior to the decoration

The fireplace has already been opened and audited and chimney has been sweeped.
Currently purchasing a Gas only fireplace (verine meridian) which will require fitting. some of the brickwork will have to chipped away and probably the plaster around the fireplace has to be prepped.
This will be a hole in the wall installation on the ground floor
The gas outlet is already at the fireplace but may consider concealing the pipe if price allows

The fireplace was plastered over by a previous owner and we have already removed the plaster to reveal the brickwork of the fireplace opening. We would now like a decorative hole in the wall type feature installed, so just an open box with a plastered finish and the surrounding chimney breast made good.

I have a fireplace currently with a 1930's surround that needs removing, can be taken off whole. then a surround mounted and cast iron insert fitted, current opening is square shaped needs be altered to fit an arch shaped insert, needs fire cement etc, quite deep. bit of plastering around the surround to make good.
