chimney cowel
- Location: Forest Hill
- Hired: Lions Roofing
- Trade: Chimneys & Fireplaces
- Positive feedback on 12th Feb 13
Job Description
Hi,
We have a chimney in a bedroom where when there is rain, we hear drops coming down every so often, sometimes quite a lot.
There is some plastic shoved up the chimney for draft prevention and the rain hitting the plastic is quite loud. I figure it is a chimney cowel issue, but I'm not entirely sure...
Is this something you would be able to assess and take care of? The property is in honor oak park, SE23.
Kind Regards
Go Sugimoto
* Added 6th February, 2013 :
The chimney is disused as it stands and will most likely not be used in the near future. Perhaps a cowel but also solutions such as the below, to maintain ventilation but complete protection from rain, etc.

unless otherwise its use it dissuaded.
