We would like to install a reproduction decorative victorian fireplace in the bedroom of our 1927 semi-detached house. The fireplace was behind some old bedroom units we removed. I have posted pictures of the fireplace and have added dimensions and measurements if required. The current position of the fireplace is off-centre so we would like to centralise the new fireplace. The living room is below the bedroom and has a gas fire installed (on the centre of the chimney breast). The fireplace we are looking to install is called "Crocus" - it is on a few websites we have visited (any feedback on this fireplace would be welcome).

My house is a Victorian 2 storey semi-detached with a safe tiled roof fitted about 20 years ago. The 2 chimney stacks were also rebuilt at that time. One stack, with 4 flues is shared with the neighbour. One of my flues on this stack was used as a gas central heating flue. The central heating has just been changed to a Combi so that flue is no longer used and the pot needs to be capped, preferably with a "mushroom" cap similar to the existing caps on the other stack. Access to the stack is easy from the rear of the property using a ladder and then a roof ladder.
