Need Chimney repointing. Stack rather high due to neighbouring house being higher to mine. Would be looking to getting only my part of the chimney repointed.

We thought our chimney needed repointing so asked a builder to do it but when they came out they said that the bricks and mortar are just crumbling away and that the chimney is starting to lean towards the house, taking the upper part of the gable with it. They felt the best solution was to rebuild the upper half of the chimney which would require scaffolding up the side of the house and fairly scary structural work. I'm keen for a second opinion and another quote.

To repoint standard size chimney stack on two bed semi detached property. Chimney is not in use so will also need to be blocked off or capped to prevent water penetration. I have already had quote for £200+ so I would be interested to see if anyone can beat it. Thanks.

Mid-feather bricks fallen down flue into fireplace. Three storey, mid-terrace, victorian house in Durham City.

Back Boiler has been removed and we would like to fit a wood burning stove. Current fire place needs to be altered to cater for this. This will include perhaps structural change or fitting of inglenook.

Only building change to be made, stove installation handled seperately.
