Remove fireplace and fit new one
- Location: Manchester
- Hired: Arly Property Services
- Trade: Chimneys & Fireplaces
- Positive feedback on 22nd Feb 13
Job Description
Need current electric fire and laminate hearth and surround removing before fitting wooden mantlepeice, cast iron insert (victorian tiled style), and hearth. I think the current set up is the 'fix to the wall' type, so I suspect a hole would have to be made in the chimney breast to accommodate the new fireplace.
The new fireplace is for decorative purposes only if that makes a difference.
I'm looking to have this done in the next couple of weeks.
Please get in touch if you'd like to view the job or give a quote.
Thanks,
Maria

Job Description
Hi want to do up our front room but some things need sorting out first. The chimmney needs to be lined (had a quote for £1000) need it to be less than this! So that we can light a fire come winter. And the front wall needs to be damp proofed as its old (125years) and slightly soggy. This will require you to take the wallpaper and skirting boards off. chip off the old plaster to say 1.5m high and plaster with dampproof plaster. (lime and cement) then finish off the walls. skim everywhere and refit the skirting boards. already have a new floor to go down (this needs laying) and getting a new front door that needs fitting.
