I have bought a new radiator (a Wickes double panel type 22, 600mm by 900mm) to replace an old leaking radiator and would like a quote for getting it fitted.

I would like this radiator to be moved nearer to the door than the previous one (it overlaps where the old one is currently, so the pipe work would reach one end but not the other if that makes sense). I have a basement where the pipes could be accessed from so you wouldn't need to take up floorboards.

An estimate for the fitting costs of this would be great.

When National Grid replaced gas meter recently they found a slight leak on Honeywell gas control valve (pilot light unit) and switched the gas off. I need a Gas Safe plumber/heating engineer to fit the replacement Honeywell gas valve V4400c 1237 to an old Potterton Diplomat boiler and to switch the gas back on. I will supply the valve, I have it here ready to be fitted. I have to say it looks nothing like my old valve but Honeywell Tech Support twice confirmed that it is the replacement for my valve and the same specification. (To view the new valve just google "V4400c 1237 image" (without the quotes). It has a couple of electrical terminals on it. If you want to see photos of my valve I can email them to you if you wish). The boiler is free-standing in a garage with space around it to work and the valve unit is on the top front of the boiler so access is no problem. It will be helpful if you can give a rough non-binding idea of cost to came out and fit it (Cutthorpe, Chesterfield). No call-out fee wanted.

Also, I realise the boiler, though working fine, is getting on (1970) and could probably do with replacing, possibly when the warmer weather comes. If you are interested you can also give me quote for a boiler replacement job while you are here and can see what's involved. I'm thinking of something like a Worcester combi.
