The boiler has developed a fault switching on results in burner igniting and after a minute or so a rise in pressure before eventually the pressure release valve trips and an error occurs on the control unit.

After some diagnosis myself I believe the expansion vessel is broken as when checking it for pressure water is escaping instead of air. I would want this to be confirmed and rectified.

I have a 3.5 year old Glow-worm Combi Boiler (not condensing) which isn't producing instant hot water from the tap as it should. I can get a little hot water from it if I only open the tap very little & let the water trickle out but if I open the tap to a normal level the water becomes cold again.
