Hello, I intend to buy a new carpet for the stairs off line - or a carpet outlet place such as carpets 4 less. I need 8 square meters for the stairs, but before I buy the carpet I would like the fitter to come and measure up to be sure along with getting an idea of the job before I buy the carpet to make sure. If you cant do this, I would have to get a free measure up from somewhere like carpet right.
If I buy an end of roll product the carpoet would have to be cut from that.=, it could be a big much bigger piece than needed, hope that would be ok? As long as I have the 8 square meters at least, I dont see this being a probelm.

I am keeping the underlay as it was new last time, and the carpet grippers are staying too.
The meaure ments of the stairs are:
14 steps
89cm width
the step part you put your foot on is 18cm front to back
the depth of the stairs is 25cm
As I said these need to be checked.

The job is to fit litterly just this part of the stairs - there is laminate at the top and tiles at the bottom.

When you come to see the job first, I would like you to look at the fittings at the top and bottom of the stairs to see if they are the right sort, or whether I would need to buy them too.

The carpet will already have been removed.

If you could give me a rough idea of how much this would be/ what you normally charge to fit a stair carpet i'd be very gratful when you contact me.

It sounds like a much bigger job than it is - basically fit stair carpet.

Our carpet man has thrown his back out halfway through fitting our carpets so we need someone to finish the job. The carpet, underlay and grippers have all been left so we just need a fitter.

Upstairs hall = 186cm x 135cm

Gripper strips and underlay will be pre fitted, so you will only need to cut and fit the carpet.
