Itemised quote required to cut existing carpet and fit around a newly fitted bedroom wardrobe installation.

On 13th and 14th August, we are having fitted bedroom furniture installed in the main bedroom against one whole side of the room. The company has advised the furniture should not be installed on top of carpet. There is currently wall-to-wall carpet.

You will need to

(a) before installation date, remove the carpet from it's existing fit and roll back to allow the installers to install the product. If you think this can be done by us, please let me know.

If it's possible to "un-nail" the existing carpet grippers and re-use by bringing forward in front of the wardrobe, then good. If it's too much time and effort, the wardrobe height can be adjusted at the back over the carpet grippers and new carpet grippers can be laid in front of the wardrobe.

(b) after installation date, cut the carpet and fit in front of the newly installed wardrobe. Removal of old carpet.

If there are any special instructions for the furniture installers, please let me know.

The length of the wall is 3510mm and the carpet will need to be cut to accommodate wardrobe with width 682mm.

Please see plan attached where sketch shows the wardrobe will be fitted opposite the bed.

2 carpets with felt backing need fitting in my front room and my bedroom.
Looking to get the carpet from ebay and a seperate fitter unless I can find somewhere else to get decent carpet from.
There are grips in the front room although if I am using felt back carpet it's ok not to have underlay?
The 2 rooms that need carpeting are currently just bare floorboards.
The front room has a chimney that juts out so the carpet will need to be cut to accommodate that. The bedroom is pretty much square though oddly has a sink in it so the carpet will need to be cut around that (I'm going to install an underthesink cupboard so it'll be an easy cut - I hope):)

I need the vinyl flooring put down in the bathroom. This is a very small room just 5'5" x 6'9" with the flooring being 5'5" x 4'6" . the vinyl is a wood plank design and would only need cutting in round the loo and one door frame

Kitchen
this is 11ft x 7'8" and the fitted units are on 3 walls with free standing fridge and washing machine which I can get moved out into the living room. The room has 3 doors into it (one of which is the bathroom)

Both the kitchen and bathroom have solid composite floors the bathroom has had its lino tiles removed as they were in poor condition the kitchen lino tiles are still in place as in good condition and I assume could have the vinyl placed directly over them.

I am considering having Vinyl floor in my living room but as this has a wooden suspended floor I'm not sure how to proceed. This would probably be at a later date.

I can arrange for some one to be at my home as required for fitting. I do have a very large dog who would be locked away.

Only need quote for labour on this one I think.
Double reception room of Victorian house in Harpenden - about 32m2 altogether. We need carpet/underlay lifting, sempafloor fitting over floor boards (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJiYsR_TRAw or http://www.mgcltd.co.uk/floor-insulation - can be fitted using staple gun which we have) - and underlay/carpet re-layed. Appreciate that you may need to use new gripper. Also possibility of doors needing rehanging - can you do this or would we need to get a carpenter separately?
Rooms are furnished, including upright piano, so might have to do half at a time. Currently old double wooden doors separate rooms and carpet is layed in one piece rather than with door strips through centre.

We need a new fitted carpet to be installed and fitted in a bedroom approx 3.9m x 3.4m. The room is square on 3 edges and has a chimney breast on one side and a radiator on another. All the materials are already on site and ready to go.

Tasks:
1. Lift and roll old carpet
2. Lift and bag-up old underlay in plastic bin bags (bags will be provided)
3. Quick check and screw down any obviously loose floorboards (not expecting any repairs or new boards - just a few screws in obviously loose/ squeaky boards).
4. Cut and lay new underlay (provided)
5. Cut and lay new fitted carpet (provided)

The sooner the job can be done, the better - so please give an indication of how soon you could do it in your quote.
