I am looking for a carpenter to fit some laminate wooden flooring in my sons bed room. We will need the skirting boards replaced so that the floor boards are fitted snuggly under them.
The floor I need to be fitted is oak and the room dimensions are in the image attached.
My budget for labour on this job is £80. We will provide wood and underlay.

i have an internal door which is moulded and part glazed, the door is 78"x30" but the area inside the frame is 76 3/4"high, the advice on the instructions says a maximum of 6mm can be trimmed off the bottom edge only, but in all 32mm will need to be trimmed off the door. Which means the stile will have to be removed and re-glued. i have the handles and hinges.

The current doors are basically knackered: the threads of their fixings have gone, so the doors hang wrong, none of them fit their frames (!!), the noise of opening & closing doors is beginning to annoy the neighbours, etc. It's a wonder they work at all.

Hi, I need a wooden gate for my side alley of the house. It is not standard width, slightly less than normal width ( under 3ft). There is a concrete pole on one side to fit to. The other side is the side of the house. Once done, I would then like a sloping piece of wood ( felt covered) over part of the alley so my bicycle can sit secure in the alley protected from the rain. Hi,

I live in letchworth and have a house built in 1913. The loft is drafty and cold I would like to have the following. Done to it

- Loft Ladder installed
- Lay insulation if required (quite a bit already there, but a bit messy)
- Board up the floor
- Insulate rafter under tiles as it seems to let a lot of wind through. I was looking at wickes thermal foil.

I would like to use the loft occassionally to store boxes and junk. Nothing fancy just has to be a clean area. Looking for quotes on the work and estimate of the days it will take.

I would like work to take place on w/e.
