The other section will be aprox 2.70m x 1.20m, same height as the other one, and the door here needs to be 1m wide. This section aims to include in the backyard a chunk of a grass patch that currently is outside the wall, hence will need to pave this part.

kitchen doorway partly bricked up

  • Location: Bexleyheath
  • Hired: Stuart Horn
  • Trade: Bricklaying
Job Description

I am in an upstairs flat (with a loft) and need 22" (approx) of my kitchen doorway bricked up this leaves approx. 8" of opening left, I then need approx 20" of brickwork knocked down so that the doorway is just moved along the hallway by 22" inches. There is a cupboard inside the kitchen which is the problem, its at an angle and I want it straightened to be flush with the new doorway, I don't want it knocked out as there are pipes in it etc and my fridge freezer is in it at the moment, but it needs to be altered. I can then put my fridge freezer in the space which is bricked up and have my cupboard back again. I think the small amount of brickwork above the front of the cupboard is a loadbearing wall and the side wall above the cupboard would be staying there so hopefully this will be ok? You really need to see it, I don't think I am explaining it very well. Thanks.
