We have a fairly new bathroom (not yet 2 years old) which in the main we are very happy with. However we have an erratic leak which happens each time we have two showers, one after the other. One shower is fine, but two showers results in a leak through the ceiling and into the kitchen below. We are very disappointed that this has happened as we had the bathroom refitted to address a different leak - where one was fixed, another has been created! We are unable to get the original tradesman back to take a look.

The shower is an electric unit (Gainsborough) over the bath. We recently replaced the outlet valve in the unit according to the instructions. We also popped a bit of clear sealant around the taps underneath as best we could in case water was coming through there. We don't think there is an issue with the waste, as bathwater drains no problem. The bathroom is tiled throughout so we cannot inspect under the bath, however the walls and under the bath were tanked/waterproofed so it shouldn't really be able to get through.

We would like a tradesman experienced in bathroom refurbishment to take a look and solve our problem once and for all. We have a spare box of tiles for retiling, if it comes to the worst (only large white tiles, nothing complicated) and we would also like the sealant around the bath re-doing as it there is a noticeable gap when the bath is full and someone is sat in it.

I have an old shower mixer valve half hidden behind tiling. It has been dripping and now hot/cold lever is not gripping so the water is stuck at one (lukewarm) temperature. It needs replacing with a new version. I don't want a fancy new electric shower at the moment as we will be upgrading the whole bathroon in due course.
