Job Description
I'm looking for someone to install a new room thermostat in our 2 bed flat.
We had a new Vaillant Ecotec Pro 24 boiler installed in Dec 2010, along with TRVs in all rooms (except the bathroom). It all seemed to be working reasonably well, but when we had it serviced last month we mentioned that we wanted to get a new digital room thermostat (as the current one is old and inaccurate) and the engineer said there's no point, it's not even connected to the boiler anymore because you don't need a room thermostat if you've got TRVs.
As I understand, building regulations state that we should have a room thermostat - plus the boiler will work much more efficiently if we do have one. The boiler includes a programmer/timer so I imagine we need a simple digital stat.
Would be grateful for any quotes for the above, along with recommendations/prices of which thermostat to go for.

I hired Ivon to fit a new wireless thermostat in our flat and he did a brilliant job.
He gave me a prompt and competetive quote, and offered advice on the best options for us. He answered all my messages within an hour or two and was able to come round within two days. He arrived exactly on time, got on with the job quickly and quietly, and left absolutely no mess. He explained how the system all worked and then carried out a couple of additional diagnostic tests on our boiler which meant that for the first time in nearly 18 months it now runs as efficiently as it's designed to!
He was very knowledgable, friendly and amenable, considerate of our toddler son, and charged exactly what he'd promised - and he did the work on a Bank Holiday!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
