Electrical inspection / partial rewiring - Electrical job in Dagenham, Essex

Recently purchased a 2 bedroom house approx 1920s.

Wiring appears very dated with old style fuse box. It has not been inspected but I am assuming it will require rewiring.

The likely work as I see it would be:

Modern consumer unit.

Approximately eleven double sockets in total.

Ceiling light in two bedrooms, lounge, hall and landing. Switches for all and an extra for the lounge and landing so can be operated from two points.

Almost all the old sockets are in place as singles and should only require two extra sockets and two extra switches.

All are surface mounted at present but we would like them behind the plaster. They would not have to be 'made good' as the rooms will be replastered. The house has very limited furniture at present and we can remove carpets to give easy access if necessary. We don't need to stay in the property whilst the work is being done so it can be left easily overnight.

The wiring in the kitchen looks to be modern and we are going to have the kitchen and bathroom remodelled in the not distant future so we hope to leave their wiring alone for now.
