I need two ceilings plastered as they have cracks over them and the paint is peeling and cracking. Theyâve had previous work done (layers of paint) to make them look smooth but are a mess. One room is 3.65 x 2.8M and the other 3.9 x 3.2M. The rooms are empty at present which should make the job easier.
The cracks are only small and it will only need a skim (with existing paint removed first?). However, the cornices are moulded into the concrete of walls (as is the skirting!) as a smooth curve with no steps or ridges - so this will need following and cleaning up as is also looking very tired due to bad previous repair. I imagine it may be hard to follow/gain a neat finish?
I will also need one wall (3.2M) to have the cornice completely replaced/re-moulded as have moved the wall.
