Problem with bolier- no hot water - Plumbing job in Rochdale, Lancashire

Nick advised me he would charge me £10 for fuel and an hourly rate, no fix no charge so I thought it seemed fair especially with what some people said. He came out and it turned out it was a simple as the thermostat being turned down on the tank which must have been knocked by accident, I still had to pay the hourly rate though even though it was a short job but he did manage to get heat from a radiator in my en suite during that time that I hadnt been able to switch on as it was too stiff so I got two things sorted. I was very grateful that he did not charge me for something that didn't need doing and was so honest as there are some people out there that would have made up an issue especially when they realised how little I knew. Some people on my builder and over the phone have quoted me before they have even looked at it and found out, one person £180 plus vat plus labour. So beware of these people- if you are looking for a genuine and honest guy who comes on time and charges fairly- choose Nick.
