There were 2 parts of this project, removal of an internal wall and relocation of an external door. Colin's written quotation for the work was accepted but he subsequently advised that he had not included the cost of the door relocation in his fixed price. He then provided a verbal quote to do this part of the work. The removal of the internal wall was completed and although it took significantly longer than he had first indicated, the work was generally to a fair standard. Having agreed the price for the door relocation there were various delays with weather and labour availability issues until finally, some weeks after the project was started, Colin conceded that he was too busy to relocate the door. This is a critical part of the project and has delayed completion of the kitchen whilst another tradesman is found to do the work. It is disappointing that until recently Colin continued to indicate that he was committed to finishing the project when it now seems likely that he was never intending to do so. This does not reflect positively on his reliability or approach to customer service, aspects that you might reasonably assume he considers important.

JC carpenters and builders's reply:
I advised that I was very busy but I would try my best to fit the work in before Christmas.I was given a detailed drawing to which I gave a detailed written quote which was accepted. The client asked about the repositioning of the back door and was it included in the price,I told them I had only quoted for the work on the drawing as I had clearly stated in my written quote. The client accepted this and asked me to do a separate quote for the back door. The next three weeks everyday the outside temp was below freezing you cannot lay bricks in these conditions as the cement will not set.The original work was completed before Christmas and the client was happy with the work.
Now for the client to leave Neutral feedback I think is unfair.
