hi mate, i have a baxi genesis 80 (for my sins) and about 2 months ago i started to get problems with the flame going out after about 10 seconds of running. water will get warm then cold again. running tap for a while seemed to solve the problem. now i cant get it to work at all. i have done some forum searching and found that there is a common fault with the heat exchanger getting blocked with either limescale or debree from the radiators or pipes. some say to replace the exchanger and some say to put some x200/x400 in to clear it. im not very good with plumbing and dont have a clue what to do next. times are hard so dont want to pay for new boiler (like one plumber said i should do) if i can help it. ive had three other plumbers in to diagnose he problem and all were differen outcomes. is this something you can help with???
