Rainbow school

School buildings can often be dull, uninspiring and run down. This 1940s Paris school was heading that way until this amazing makeover and rainbow paint job by architects Palatre & Leclère. The results are astounding and are certainly an inspiration for the kids in the school and anyone looking to brighten up a dull space. The path takes you from the road down to the beach, forcing you to meander and take in the vista yet still be excited by the view as you reach the bottom. Take a good look at the detail and tell us what you think.

Cloud house

Both children and daydreamers are keen on the idea of living in the clouds, but Australian architects McBride Charles Ryan have made this fantasy a reality with this fun cloud-shaped addition to an Edwardian house. The extension looks out across the pool and provides a place to dream, think and stare into the middle distance.
